To offer retail installment contracts for businesses to provide to end customers, a privately held consumer finance services firm managed a set of 109 contracts across all US states, DC, and Puerto Rico.

However, they relied on their legacy printing services provider for any contract updates, which was slow and tedious. As a result, the Chief Legal Officer faced a large backlog of required edits to bring all 109 contracts up to compliance. Before contacting Coda Strategy, the leadership team engaged with a service provider that failed to deliver.

Our Solution

Coda Strategy proposed partnering with the consumer finance services firm’s legal and IT teams to redesign and validate 5 initial contracts. That would define the process to complete the remaining 100+ contract updates.

The firm’s entire business revolved around its 109 installment contracts. Coda Strategy’s team partnered with the legal and IT teams to update legal language, redesign the look & feel, and perform IT validation on all 109 contracts. Because the firm’s team members were involved in each step, they were able to take ownership of future edits, eliminating reliance on their legacy printing services provider.
